Abortion is a sensitive issue, and whether a mother should or should not go for abortion greatly depends on the situation she is in.

As with the case of Beethoven, we feel that the mother should take responsibility of her baby’s life. She might be pregnant with her fifth child because she felt guilty about her second child who died or it might be an accident. However, whatever the reason is, the baby should still be given a chance to live. The baby was almost certainly born into a less than ideal family and he/she was at risk of being blind/deaf or having tuberculosis. However, successful people who were born in broken homes or have physical defect are not unheard of. Hence the mother should not go for abortion even in her difficult situation.

However, we recommend that Miss T goes for an abortion. Being only 15 years old, she is still young and is unable to support the child on her own. She will still have the chance to conceive int he future if she hopes to have a child. The first course of action is to consult her parents and get their opinion on the subject. As she is still a minor, she has to inform her legal guardians about her situation and needs their consent if she decides to go for an abortiona or if she chooses to keep the child, she will then have to get their financial and emotional support during the course of her pregnency and while she raises the child.
