Perhaps then, the crux of the environmental dilemma lies with societal attitudes towards exploitation of our planet. At present, with the capability but not the willpower for a greener Gaia, the human race is heading towards oil-slicked beaches and purple-hued skies of tomorrow. However, if the individual person did his small part to protect the environment, their collective efforts would surely a positive change.
